crossmedia journalism
this is my, timmi's journalistic portfolio.
A platform for my productions, however timmi is not the subject. It is the people around me as well as the stories and events I am following.
welcome to a portfolio with timmi: mit.timmi

solo PRODUCTIONS
Film is the crucial format in today’s Multimedia Journalism. It combines audio, video, and narrative into a piece every viewer can instinctively understand. Producing solely has defined my self-understanding as a backpack journalist. Demanded to professional planning, immediate reacting, and post-production.
SOCIAL MEDIA journalism
Social Media is the base for mit.timmi. It is my expert format after having gained experience both in one of Germany’s biggest news outlets and as a host for an Edinburgh-based magazine. For independent projects it allows me to follow events and people globally and produce for everyone, everywhere.
writing STORIES
Whether in German or English, writing remains the root of journalism. From political scandals to covering a local football match, I believe that written words still offer the most honest form of expression. At mit.timmi, (sometimes not-so) simple words define my humor and my journalistic style.1

recent WORK
independent DOCUMENTARY
On Field Hockey trying to become a global sport. While football is accessible to everyone, hockey remains exclusive in the UK. Instead of embracing this difference, Hockey federations push to become more professional with both progress and drawbacks.
RADIO pieces
The Education Tax has come into effect on the 1st January of 2025 and will raise nearly 1.6 Billion pounds. The policy aims for more equity between the indipendent and the public sector. However in Scotland it seems to have disrupted both sides already.
Scottish parliament voted on a controversial emergency early release bill. While the government states that this will ease prison system at its capacity limit, some advocacy groups say that this will not provide a sustainable reduction in the prison population.
